Castile Soap – Uses, Directions and Storage 

Household Uses

Spray Bottle
Dilute ¼ cup of product into 1 quart of warm water. Stir or shake. Pour into spray bottle. Use on countertops, glass, mirrors, porcelain, or fiberglass.

All-Purpose Cleaner
Dilute 2 tablespoons of product in 1 quart of warm water. Use on sealed surfaces including countertops, appliances, stainless steel, and cabinets. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Degreaser
Use at full strength or dilute 1:1 with warm water. Apply directly to greasy stovetops, range hoods, or ovens. Let sit 5 minutes, then wipe clean.

Refrigerator Cleaner
Mix 1 tablespoon of product in 1 quart warm water. Wipe interior shelves, drawers, and door seals. Rinse with damp cloth.

Trash Can Cleaner
Add 1 tablespoon to warm water and scrub interior and exterior. Rinse and allow to air dry.

Outdoor Furniture
Dilute 2 tablespoons in 1 quart warm water. Scrub patio furniture, plastic chairs, and tables. Rinse with hose.

Walls & Baseboards
Dilute 1 tablespoon in 1 quart warm water. Wipe painted walls, trim, and baseboards.

Tile & Grout
Apply directly to grout with brush. Scrub and rinse clean.

Jewelry Cleaner
Add a few drops to warm water. Soak jewelry briefly, brush gently, rinse, and dry.

Fruit & Vegetable Wash
Add a few drops to a bowl of water. Gently rub produce, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.

Coffee Maker Cleaner
Add 1 tablespoon to warm water. Run through machine (no coffee), then run 2 cycles of clean water.

Blender Cleaner
Add warm water and a few drops of product. Blend for 10 seconds. Rinse clean.

Microwave Cleaner
Add a few drops to warm water. Wipe interior and exterior surfaces.

Cutting Board Cleaner
Apply directly to damp board. Scrub and rinse.

Dishes
For caked-on foods, pre-soak dishes using 1 tablespoon of product in a shallow sink of warm water. Hand wash dishes using 1–2 tablespoons of product directly to your damp sponge, cloth, or brush.

Laundry
Add 1/3 cup (or 1/2 for larger loads) of product and wash as normal. For HE washing machines, reduce to half the suggested amount.

Stain Remover
Apply a few drops directly to stain. Rub gently, let sit 10 minutes, then wash.

Upholstery Cleaner
Dilute ½ tablespoon in 8 oz warm water. Lightly scrub fabric and blot dry.

Windows
Dilute 1 tablespoon of product into 1 quart of warm water. Stir or shake. Pour into spray bottle. Spray directly onto windows. For best results, squeegee and then follow with club soda or a mixture of ½ water and ½ household vinegar.

Bathroom
Add 1 tablespoon of product directly to a damp sponge, cloth, or brush and use directly on bathroom fixtures. Wipe with a damp rag to remove dirt and grime.

Toilets
Mix 2 tablespoons of product with 16 fl oz of warm water and mix until completely dissolved. Then, pour the solution into the toilet, scrub bowl with brush, leave for 30 to 60 minutes, then flush.

Carpets
Dilute ½ tablespoon of product into 8 fl oz of warm water. Stir or shake. Pour into spray bottle. Spray directly onto stain. Let sit for 10–15 minutes, then remove with a sponge or cloth. Press down to absorb excess liquid. If the stain remains, repeat treatment. Let dry and vacuum after cleaning.

Floors
Dilute 1 tablespoon of product into 8 fl oz of warm water. Stir or shake. Pour into spray bottle and apply to floors. Mop wood, laminate, vinyl, or stone floors. Product can make hard surfaces slippery.

Personal Care Uses

Hands, Face & Body
Use at full strength or dilute. Use as you would your favorite soaps — add to wash cloth, sponge, or hands — lather and rinse.

Bath
Add 2 tablespoons of product to bath. Doesn't bubble or lather, but still cleans!

Foot Soak
Add 1 tablespoon to warm water. Soak feet 10–15 minutes.

Makeup Removal
Lather several drops in hands. Massage onto face. Rinse.

Shaving
Lather several drops in hands. Massage onto surface area to be shaved. Shave and rinse as normal.

Hair
Add as needed for hair length (a few drops up to ½ tablespoon), work directly into hair or pre-dilute with water. Follow with your favorite cleansing rinse or make your own with ½ cup apple cider vinegar and ½ cup water.

Pet Care
Great for use as a pet shampoo. Use at full strength or dilute. Add to your pet’s coat — lather and rinse thoroughly.

Dog Bedding Cleaner
Add small amount to warm water. Hand wash bedding and rinse thoroughly.

Pet Toy Cleaner
Wash toys in warm water with a few drops. Rinse thoroughly.

Storage

Keep container closed when not in use. Keep out of reach of children. Protect from extreme temperatures — can become cloudy if cold. Do not reuse this container. Offer for recycling if available or dispose of in a sanitary landfill.
